The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore meets monthly on the fourth Friday, from January to October, from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Hunt Valley, Maryland.  A half hour of networking is followed by fifteen minutes of business and introductions, and then a speaker for a half hour.

    FOX45 Baltimore

    Jennifer Gilbert is an Emmy award winning television news anchor at WBFF-TV, the Fox affiliate in Baltimore, MD. Since joining FOX45 in 1993, Jennifer has covered some of the biggest stories in Baltimore, including the riots in the spring of 2015. She has traveled nationally and internationally, to cover disasters including Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Jennifer had the good fortune to return to New Orleans in 2013 to cover the Baltimore Ravens' victory in Super Bowl XLVII.

    SPEAKER:
    Bishop Adam J. Parker
    Bishop/Vicar General, Archdiocese of Baltimore

    Bishop Adam J. Parker serves as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  As Vicar General, he assists the Archbishop in the governance of the Archdiocese and as Moderator of the Curia, he serves as the general manager of Central Services.  He oversees the operations of the six major departments of The Catholic Center in the implementation of the Archdiocese’s mission and priorities of the Archbishop.  He also assists to coordinate the work of the three vicariates of the Archdiocese. 


    Born in 1972 to George and Maureen Parker of Cleveland, Ohio, Adam J. Parker attended the University of Maryland, College Park before entering pre-theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore in preparation for the priesthood. He continued his formation for the priesthood at the Pontifical North American College in Rome and was ordained a priest on May 27, 2000 by the late Cardinal William H. Keeler.  From 2001 to 2005, he served as Associate Pastor in three parishes in Allegany County and in 2005 was named Pastor of the Church of the Ascension in Halethorpe. In 2007, he was appointed Priest-Secretary to Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien, 15th Archbishop of Baltimore, and was named a monsignor by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011.  In 2012, Monsignor Parker was assigned to Rome, where he continued to assist the newly elevated Cardinal O’Brien, who had been appointed Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. Upon his return to the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 2013, he served as Vice Chancellor for one year prior to being appointed Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia by Archbishop William E. Lori. In December 2016, Pope Francis appointed Monsignor Parker Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore and he was ordained in January 2017. Bishop Parker chose for his episcopal motto, “Go Make Disciples,” from the end of the Gospel of Matthew (Mt 28:19).

    SPEAKER:
    Deacon Kevin Hostutler
    President & CEO, ACGI Software

    Deacon Kevin Hostutler was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of Baltimore in May 2017 by Archbishop William E. Lori.  Deacon Kevin currently serves the parishes of St. Louis, Clarksville and St. Francis of Assisi, Fulton.  His primary responsibilities in the parishes (beyond the rotation of baptisms, serving at mass, preaching, leading novenas, holy hours, and Eucharistic Adoration) are centered around the ACTS adult retreat program and the Teen-ACTS summer retreat for high school age youth.  Deacon Kevin is also serving the Archdiocese as a member of the team for this year’s High School Leadership Institute (HighLi).  He has been married for 27 years to his wife Coleen and they have 5 children (4 boys and 1 princess/queen).

     Professionally, Deacon Kevin has over 28 years of experience working in the association management software industry. He provides strategic vision and executive leadership as President and CEO for ACGI Software a corporation based in Columbia, Maryland that he co-founded in 1996.  He has focused on building an exceptional team of professionals and setting the direction for ACGI’s product lines. Deacon Kevin is also involved in managing relationships with customers, executive management leadership, and maintaining strategic alignment across all departments. Prior to ACGI, he was a software developer and technical lead/project manager for a leading association management software company for over six years. A native of Ohio, Deacon Kevin graduated Magna Cum Laude in Engineering Science from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

    Mark Viviano
    Sports Director, WJZ

    Most recently, Mark was studio anchor and national correspondent for CNN-Sports Illustrated, a position he assumed after leaving the Baltimore NBC affiliate television station WBAL-TV in December 1999.

    Baltimoreans will remember him as the weekend sports anchor and reporter for that station, as well as for his role on sister radio stations WBAL-AM and 98 Rock FM as the morning radio sports anchor and evening/weekend call-in host for sports–related programming.

    Mark originally came to Baltimore from the Midwest where he worked for WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio as weekend sports anchor. He also served in a similar capacity at WCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

    Career highlights include earning national recognition as the reporter who broke the story of the Cleveland Browns’ relocation to Baltimore in November 1995.

    He also was selected to carry the Olympic torch through Baltimore en route to its final destination at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

    Mark is an avid runner and has completed 21 marathons, including the 2002 Boston Marathon. He finished 109th out of 1,800 runners in the inaugural Baltimore 10 Miler in June 2008.

    A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Mark is a native of St. Louis, Mo.
