Catholic Business Network of Baltimore (CBNB)
Friday, April 26, 2013 meeting featuring speaker
Father Ed Meeks, Pastor of Christ The King Church.
"A Journey to the Heart of the Church"
Father Ed Meeks is a Roman Catholic priest of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, and the founding pastor of Christ the King Church in Towson, Maryland. After studying for the priesthood for eight years as a young man in the 1960's, he left the seminary, married his wife of 42 years, Janice, and began a career in business, working in the Human Resources field for several local companies, including Equitable Bank, McCormick and Co. and Erickson Retirement Communities. He acquired a Master's Degree in Business Administration from George Washington University in 1979, and a Master of Ministry degree from Holy Trinity Theological College and Seminary. He and his wife have four grown children and are awaiting the birth of their fourteenth grandchild. Father Meek's life story includes a 30-year period away from the Catholic Church, during which time he became an Anglican priest, and during which time the Holy Spirit slowly but unmistakeably called him back to the Church.
