    How long have you been a sponsor? 

    We have supported Catholic Business Network of Baltimore since the first meeting in February 2010. 

    What made you want to become a sponsor?

    We believe strongly in the organization’s mission of helping People increase their Faith and their Professional lives.

    What is the largest value you receive as a sponsor?

    There are several ways Catholic Business Network of Baltimore has been valuable. Our firm has increased our business through new sales. I personally have made many friendships that I will cherish forever. And, it has been wonderful to see the organization grow and continue to attract new people excited about sharing their business and their faith.  

    What does a CBNB sponsorship do for you that other organizations don’t?

    Through supporting the organization, we are convinced it helps to support the growth of God’s kingdom here on earth.

    Is there anything else you would like potential sponsors to know?

    Our firm helps organizations find people who are falsifying employment applications, have exhibited unacceptable past behavior and are using illegal drugs.

    How long have you been a sponsor? 

    6 Years.

    What made you want to become a sponsor?

    I thought the goal of CBNB to provide an environment where professionals could grow in faith and business would fill a niche in Networking groups in Baltimore. While providing network opportunities, CBNB also fosters a platform for folks to grow spiritually. I also liked the idea that while the group maintains big C (Catholic) principles,  CBNB also has a small c (catholic) welcoming attitude toward people of all faiths. Since I value the Catholic education that I was fortunate to receive, I like the support that CBNB gives to Archdiocesan and other Catholic Schools in the form of scholarships for worthy and needy students.

    What is the largest value you receive as a sponsor?

    My biggest pleasure has been to witness the organic growth of the organization over the last 6 years, as well as the enthusiasm displayed at our monthly meetings. Over the last 6 years, CBNB has grown from 10-20 members to over 130, a mailing list of over 900, and meeting attendance averages of 70-80 people. The speakers are outstanding! Additionally, special events, like the Catholic Leadership Award Breakfast, Advent Prayer Breakfast, Annual Networking Event, and the Evening with the Archbishop provide opportunities to help support the organization and Catholic Education while celebrating with a great group of folks. Connections with people in differing professions also provides the opportunity for me to grow my business and business knowledge. Friendships have developed as well. For me, my time as a member and a past board member has been a time of growth, both professionally and personally. I have witnessed the amazing dedication of board members and the members. It does take a village to grow successfully!

    What does a CBNB sponsorship do for you that other organizations don’t?

    CBNB sponsorship means contributing to a group that supports The Fitz-Patrick Wealth Management’s core beliefs. Michael and I believe in family values, fiduciary and ethically responsible principles in our financial planning and management process. These values and principles are guided and informed by our Catholic values. CBNB is an organization that allows expression and reinforcement of those principles. The Fitz-Patrick Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, are proud to support CBNB and Catholic education and enjoy  associating with others who also value those core beliefs.

    Is there anything else you would like potential sponsors to know?

    I would say that if you haven’t come to meetings or joined the CBNB, there is value on all kinds of levels by joining. You may come for business, and find the spiritual side encouraging or you may come for the spiritual side, and find business benefits. Either way, you will find a great opportunity for making great new friends and acquaintances while learning from speakers and other members!

    A message from Fr. James Boric, Rector - Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

    In 1978 the people of Poland changed their country by calling together a Rosary Congress. For 1 week, the Poles adored Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. They prayed the rosary every hour on the hour. They attended Mass. They repented of their sins and went to confession-all in an effort to end the oppression of communist government and to allow their beloved John Paul II to come home and celebrate Mass.

    Their prayers were answered! Not only did Pope John Paul gain access to his beloved Poland, but the winds of change swept through the country...and eventually led to the collapse of the communist regime.

    This freedom came about because men, women and children prayed the rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament for an entire week!

    For the first time ever in Baltimore, we are hosting a Rosary Congress to change the world too. From Oct. 7-13 the doors of the Basilica of the Assumption will be open for continuous Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and recitation of the Rosary. Special masses will be offered for our children and our families. There will be talks and opportunities for confession each day.

    This is how we will bring peace to our world. And so my question to you is: will you help us in this mission?

    Fifth-Annual Award Recognizes Leaders Exemplifying Faith in Business

    Dr. Ellen Yankellow, 2017 CBNB Catholic Business Leadership Award Recipient

    HUNT VALLEY, MD (April 18, 2017) – The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore (CBNB) has announced that Dr. Ellen H. Yankellow, President & CEO of Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc. is the recipient of the 2017 CBNB Catholic Business Leadership Award.

    Dr. Yankellow, regarded as one of the leading women pharmacists in the country and an expert in institutional and geriatric pharmacy, founded Correct Rx after a long career as a top executive in the pharmacy services industry. Correct Rx has grown to become a national leader in institutional pharmacy services, currently serving over 195 correctional facilities throughout the United States.

    Dr. Yankellow’s success is reflected in her commitment and support of area philanthropic causes. She serves on the boards of numerous religious, nonprofit and community organizations including St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Catholic Community Foundation Board of Trustees, the Maryland Board of Pharmacy, University of Maryland-School of Pharmacy Board of Visitors, the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation, Inc., the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and The Carter Center Board of Trustees, among others.  A member of the Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier in Hunt Valley, she served as co-chair of the 2016 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal along with her husband, William Chapman.

    Dr. Yankellow has also been recognized with numerous awards, among them the Bowl of Hygeia Award, considered one of the pharmaceutical profession’s most prestigious awards, the Alzheimer’s Association Exemplary Leadership Award, and the Children’s Guild’s 2015 Sadie Award.

    “The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore is again privileged to partner with the Archdiocese of Baltimore in recognizing individuals who demonstrate the guidance of their faith in their professional lives,” said James Randisi, president of CBNB. “Dr. Yankellow is an inspiring example of Catholic leadership, and we are honored to present her with the fifth-annual Catholic Business Leadership Award.”

    Created in 2014, past-recipients of CBNB’s Catholic Business Leadership Award include Michael MacDonald, executive chairman of the board of Medifast, Tyler Tate, president of Lewis Contractors, and the Hon. Francis X Kelly, Jr., former Maryland senator and chairman and co-founder of Kelly & Associates.  The 2017 award will be presented at CBNB’s Business Leadership Breakfast to be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, beginning at 7.30 AM at the Radisson Hotel North in Timonium, Maryland.

    "Our Lord has called us to open our hearts to the Faith and bear witness to the Gospel. Likewise, Pope Frances has asked all Catholics to evangelize our brothers and sisters in our local communities. 

    The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore seeks to fulfill these important Gospel mandates. Both organizations provide an environment for Catholics to grow in their faith while affording an opportunity to invite other members of our community to experience the Truths of our faith in their work lives.

    HUNT VALLEY, MD (Sept. 30, 2016) – The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore (CBNB), one of the area’s leading faith-based business networking associations, has announced their officers and directors for 2016-17.

    The officers include James Randisi of Randisi & Associates, Interim President, Kerry Lidard of Kelly Services, Inc., Secretary; Debra Saraullo of In-Home Advantage, Treasurer; and Keith Parker of Morgan Stanley, Treasurer-Elect.  

    The incoming directors for the year are Matt Anthony of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Robyn Costello, Mark Fitz-Patrick of Merrill Lynch, Kenneth Glenn, Jr. of Gross Mendelsohn Technology Solutions Group, Joe Shagena of Destiny Mortgage, and Greg Pierce of SPARKS! Marketing Communications.  Fr. Steven Roth, pastor of St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Parkville, and Fr. Carolos Osorio of St. Joseph’s Parish in Cockeysville will serve as spiritual advisors.

    Founded in 2011, CBNB is an independent networking group whose purpose is to provide an environment for individuals to increase their faith and grow their professional lives. With over 125 members, the group has raised over $70,000 for its educational endowment providing financial assistance to worthy students seeking to attend Archdiocesan high schools in Baltimore.

    In addition, CBNB presents the annual Catholic Business Leadership Award and past-recipients have included Michael MacDonald, CEO of Medifast, Inc., Tyler Tate, P.E., president of Lewis Contractors, Inc. and the Hon. Francis X. Kelly, Jr. of Kelly & Associates, Inc.

    The Catholic Business Network of Baltimore (CBNB) has announced that the Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr., Chairman and Co-founder of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY), is the 2016 recipient of the annual Catholic Business Leadership Award. 

    Frank Kelly graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. degree in Economics. In 1976, he and his wife Janet started KELLY, and today it is one of Maryland’s fastest growing privately-held firms with nearly 13,000 corporate clients. 

    In 1979 Frank Kelly was elected to the Maryland State Senate where he served for 12 years. During that time, Senator Kelly advocated for establishing the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), and sponsored the law creating the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He has since served on the boards of both organizations. The Honorable Senator Francis X. Kelly Distinguished Professorship in Trauma Surgery was established in his honor. His most recent appointment is Chairman of the new Board of Directors of UMMS’ St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. 

    In the 1990s Senator Kelly turned his focus to education and worked to consolidate Baltimore County’s three community colleges into one Community College of Baltimore County system. CCBC’s Hunt Valley Center is named for him. In addition, he served as vice chair of the Morgan State University Board of Regents for 14 years. He has also been prominent in revitalizing Calvert Hall College High School’s campus. 

    Senator Kelly has received numerous recognition awards over the years, including: The Baltimore Health Underwriters Association “Person of the Year”; Maryland Health Underwriters Hall of Fame; Stuart Macht Award for Business Excellence (Baltimore County government); Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Hall of Fame; the Chimes Hall of Fame; the American Trauma Society’s Distinguished Achievement Award, among many others. Senator Kelly has also been recognized by Irish American magazine as one of the top 100 Irish business leaders in the United States. 

    “Senator Kelly’s lifetime of achievement and commitment to the state of Maryland and the Baltimore community exemplify the importance of not just going through the motions of life but rather choosing to make a difference while standing on the firm ground of faith and values. With his dedication to family and faith, it is an honor for us to recognize him,” said Diane Beliveau, CBNB’s president. 

    The 2016 Leadership Award will be presented at CBNB’s Fifth Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Wyndham Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The event will be hosted by WMAR-TV’s Jamie Costello and will feature keynote speaker Fr. Timothy Gallagher, O.M.V., author and frequent speaker on ETWN.
