August Monthly Meeting

Would You Like to Have More Personal Energy?
Just in time for a back-to-school / back-to-work energy boost, our August speaker, Greg Conderacci, will give you some tips and tricks to get you ready for a busy fall. Greg is the author of Getting UP! Supercharging Your Energy. The book is based on “energy secrets” behind his long business career — and more than half a century of success as an ultra-long-distance bicycle rider and racer.
Greg left a job reporting economics in Washington for The Wall Street Journal to become Director of Community Services at Catholic Charities here in 1980. Over the next 10 years, he led the team that started Our Daily Bread, My Sister’s Place, and Sarah’s House, programs that are still serving the poor today. After that, he held top marketing jobs at Price Waterhouse, Prudential Health Care, and Alex. Brown before starting his own consulting practice in 2003. He also taught marketing at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Carey Business School for many years.
But the “test bed” for his energy theories has always been his bike. He’s twice ridden across the US; the last time in just 18 days at the age of 66, averaging more than 150 miles a day. He has won age-group national championships in 12-hour (206 miles) and 24-hour races (335 miles). He’s raced 1,000 miles in Italy (about 5 days) and 750 miles in Alaska (about 3).
His “secret” is to maximize all four pools of energy within: physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual – especially spiritual. Come on August 28 to learn how!
